About Brian Clark

​Brian S. Clark, founder of Clark Forensics and Investigations LLC, is a former Special Agent with both the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He spent 9 years as a commissioned officer with AFOSI and over 20 years as an FBI Special Agent.

During this time, Mr. Clark obtained a Master of Forensic Sciences degree from The George Washington University and was assigned as a Forensic Sciences Consultant for AFOSI. Following his participation at the 9/11 Pentagon Crash Site, he was deployed to the Middle East in the opening days of Operation Enduring Freedom as a force protection asset. After separating from the Air Force in 2003, he attended the FBI Academy and upon graduation was assigned to the Chicago Division working on Counter Terrorism, Violent Crime, Fraud, and Public Corruption investigations.

Mr. Clark joined the FBI Chicago Division Evidence Response Team (ERT) in 2005. He advanced to team leader in 2007 and the Senior Team Leader in 2021 where he held this position until retiring from the FBI in 2023. During his time as the Senior Team Leader, he led a 40-person team that responded to multiple large and complex crime scenes in Chicago including the Highland Park shooting on July 4, 2022.

  • Deployed to the Middle East 1997-1998 – Operation Southern Watch as chief of the Surveillance Detection Team.
  • Program Manager – AFOSI Forensic Sciences Consultant program and instructor at the AFOSI Special Investigations Academy.
  • FBI Violent Crime Task Force – 12 years.
  • FBI Chicago Division cold case homicide squad.
  • Behavior Analysis Unit Coordinator for FBI Chicago Division.
  • Certified member of the FBI Adjunct Faculty Program and served as an Adjunct Faculty member at The George Washington University.
  • Taught ERT Basic Crime Scene Processing and related courses in the United States, as well as internationally in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Morocco, Hungary, Peru, and Kenya.
  • Taught advanced crime scene topics to multiple police department evidence technicians.
  • Testified in numerous trials as a case agent and ERT team leader.
  • Counselor FBI National Academy Session 288
  • Fellow with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
  • Member of the International Association for Identification.
  • Member Federal Law Enforcement Officer’s Association.
