CRIME SCENE CERTIFICATION
PREPARATION

(32 Hours)

​Instructor: Shih-Ching “Sunny” Fu, CCSA 
Course length: 32 hours


This 32-hour course was developed to prepare individuals to take all levels of the IAI Crime Scene Certification: Certified Crime Scene Investigator, Certified Crime Scene Analyst, and Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst. This course will review hundreds of sample questions pertaining to crime scene examination and photography as taken from the books on the reading list for this certification.

SCHEDULE:

Day 1: Book Review (8 hours)

  • Crime Scene Photography, Edition III Review
  • Chapter Reviews and practice questions will be reviewed

Day 2: Book Review (8 hours)

  • Practical Crime Scene Processing and Investigation, Edition III Review
  • Chapter Reviews and practice questions will be reviewed

Day 3: Book Review (8 Hours)

· Practical Analysis and Reconstruction of Shooting Incidents
· Chapter Reviews and practice questions will be answered

Day 4: Practice Exam and Book Review (8 Hours)

· Review of books for CSCSA
· Practice Test for all exams and review

Sunny Fu
Sunny is a Certified Crime Scene Analyst (CCSA) through the International Association for Identification (IAI). She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Forensics and completed her Basic Applied Forensic Sciences and Crime Analysis Certificate at the Long Beach State University. In 2013 and 2015, she studied Comparative Forensics in the United Kingdom (England and Scotland). She then earned a Master of Science Degree in Crime Scene Investigation. Presently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security. Having guest-lectured for undergraduate university courses in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science, Sunny is setting her sights on a future in academia.
