Forensic Interpersonal Skills
Forensic practitioners do not work in a vacuum. We are an integral part of a much larger team within the Criminal Justice System. We place significant effort into growing and honing our technical skills throughout the course of our careers but spend far less time honing our ability to more effectively work with our peers. In this Forensic Interpersonal Skills webinar, we will focus on growing several of the interpersonal skills that will have the greatest impact on your understanding of yourself and your interactions with your co-workers.
In this 8 hour Forensic Interpersonal Skills webinar, we will cover the following:

In this Forensic Interpersonal Skills webinar, we will focus on growing several of the interpersonal skills that will have the greatest impact on your understanding of yourself and your interactions with your co-workers.
In this 8 hour Forensic Interpersonal Skills webinar, we will cover the following:
- DISC (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance) Behavioral Training (1 hour) - Take the DISC behavioral assessment, learn your DISC behavioral style and an overview of the DISC behavioral styles. Learn how to recognize other DISC personalities and how to effectively work with them to create a more productive and cohesive work environment.
- Communication & Critical Conversations (2.5 hours) – Improve your communication and listening skills. Learn the most effective ways to communicate information to your peers so that the information is heard and understood. Learn how to have those difficult but necessary conversations with your co-workers and supervisors.
- Ethics & Legal (1.5 hours) – Ethical behavior in the workplace. What is ethics? What is ethical? Learn how to be an ethical employee and how to be a member of your team that is known for their integrity. Learn what things can get you in serious trouble in the workplace.
- Self & Staff Care (2 hours) – Continually pouring yourself into your work without taking time to refill yourself leads to burnout. Learn stress relief tips for yourself and your peers. Learn how to recognize distress in your peers and how to combat it.
