Latent Print Sequential Processing & Preservation
The Physical & Chemical Processing of Latent Print Evidence course includes comprehensive training in evidence collection and physical and chemical processing of latent print evidence as well as latent print photography. The course will provide both lecture material and hands-on practical exercises.

At the conclusion of the Physical & Chemical Processing of Latent Print Evidence course, the student should know how to maintain the integrity of latent print evidence from the crime scene to the laboratory, understand the physiological components of latent print residue, and recognize the appropriate latent print processing technique(s) calculated by matrix, substrate, and environmental considerations.
The student will learn how to preserve the latent print evidence using forensic light sources, advanced photography techniques, and proper image storage practices.
The student will be able to testify in court with more confidence when describing their decisions in evidence collection and evidence processes completed.
