Basic Latent Print Development

The Basic Latent Print Development course is intended for patrol officers, detectives, service aides, and other personnel assigned with the duty of processing scenes for latent prints. It will encompass basic information about latent prints and their composition, documentation, and chain of custody. There will be ample time dedicated to practicing with a variety of on-scene techniques for multiple surface types.

Students enrolled in this Latent Print Development course will be provided with a fingerprinting kit that can be used to process scenes after completion of the course.
