About Brett Doretti
Brett Doretti was a professional photographer for twelve years leading him to utilize his photography expertise when he joined the Orange County Sheriff's Department Crime Lab in southern California.
Brett specializes in photography, crime scene investigation, chemical processing of evidence and the capturing of latent fingerprints. He was trained as a member of the clandestine laboratory task force and shared his skills as a Crime Scene Investigator field trainer with the Crime Lab. Brett instructed for California State University Long Beach Center for Criminal Justice and Golden West College in Southern California, teaching classes in Crime Scene Investigation and Forensic Photography.
Brett earned his International Association for Identification (IAI) Certified Forensic Photographer certificate and currently serves on the Science and Practices Sub-committee on Forensic Photography and Electronic Digital Imaging for the IAI.
