FULL-SPECTRUM FORENSIC LIGHT SOURCE PHOTOGRAPHY

Instructors: Heidi Nichols, CFPH & Steve Warlen
Course length: 40 hours

Photography of evidence illuminated by Ultraviolet Radiation, Infrared Radiation, and Alternate Light Sources can provide investigators with meaningful images, but has frequently provided photographers with challenges. The Full-Spectrum Forensic Light Source Photography course has been designed to instruct the student innovative methods to photographically capture images of this type of evidence using digital cameras.

This course will heavily emphasize instruction using hands-on techniques. The students will photograph realistic evidence to observe the photographic results of the techniques learned and used in class.

Due to the amount of hands-on training in this course, enrollment is limited to 20 students. A selection of cameras, lenses and light sources for use in the course will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring the digital camera used in their work and full-spectrum digital cameras if so equipped.
