About Heidi Sievers
Heidi Sievers holds a PhD in Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Forensics and Criminal Justice. She is an International Association for Identification Certified Bloodstain Pattern Analyst (CBPA) and Certified Crime Scene Investigator (CCSI).
She has completed over 500 hours of forensic-related training courses. She spent four years as a forensic investigator and human remains detection canine handler, in a law enforcement capacity, before moving on as an independent bloodstain pattern analysis consultant, trainer, and college professor for the past two years. She has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level forensic coursework at three regionally accredited universities, as well as, served as program director and chair over forensic investigation and crime scene technology.
She owns Sievers Forensics, which specializes in bloodstain pattern analysis training, case consultation, and research. Sievers Forensics has assisted local and state law enforcement agencies, such as Sheriff’s Offices, Medical Examiner’s Office, and Florida Highway Patrol, in both case review and training courses. Her training courses in basic and advanced bloodstain pattern analysis, bloodstain documentation, and bloodstain enhancement and detection have all received IAI approval for both initial and recertification for the crime scene certifications (CCSI, CCSA, CSCSA) and bloodstain certification (CBPA).
