About J.P. Rodriguez
J.P. Rodriguez is currently employed for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab as a Latent Print Examiner. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree from Florida State University.
J.P. began his career as a Tenprint Examiner for the Miami-Dade Police Department in 2008. He was later hired by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office as a Latent Examiner in 2012. J.P. has been invited on multiple occasions to lecture at the Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute and at conferences and meetings of the Florida Division of the International Association for Identification (FDIAI.) At those venues he has instructed the Basic Fingerprint Classification and Identification, the Basic Latent Print, and Advanced Latent Print and Comparison Workshops.
In 2013, J.P. was elected as the region 5 director of the FDIAI where he held that position through 2015. In 2016, he was elected as the Third Vice President of the FDIAI. In 2017 and 2018, J.P. was elected as the Second Vice President and the First Vice President of the FDIAI, respectively.
