About Mike Wilson
Michael Wilson is a graduate of Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography. He worked as a forensic photographer at the Los Angeles Police Department for 26 years capturing images of crimes, accidents, riots, victims and an earthquake. He retired as a Senior Photographer II in 2002.
He was the first Chairman of the International Association for Identification (IAI) Forensic Photography Certification Board, (Certification #001). The IAI is the world’s oldest and largest forensic science/identification association. Since his retirement, Mike has taught a 40 hours Forensic Photography class to 1,000’s of Maricopa Community College District (civilian and sworn) students. He is the owner of ForensicPhotog.com, providing timely, professional forensic photography services to attorneys concerning legal issues and private individuals aiding in the authentication of antique items.
He has qualified as an Expert Witness in Forensic Photography in Superior and Federal Court.
