IAI Tenprint Certification Webinar Series - Part 1: Written Examination
6 hours - 4 Hour Lecture and 2 Hour Practice Examination

The purpose of this review course is to review concepts, texts, and articles required for the written examination portion of the IAI Tenprint Certification Test.  In addition, students will be familiarized with the types of questions asked on the written examination.  It is important to note, this course is not a substitution for reading all the required material.

Students will complete a sample practice written examination. The questions on the sample test are created based on the reading material.  This instructor does not have access to the Tenprint Certification Test Questions.

Students taking this course must be qualified for IAI Tenprint Certification, including two years of full time working experience in the area of tenprint identification.

Students are required to read all required texts prior to the webinar.  Time will be given for students to ask questions on any of reading material.

Required Textbooks:
  • The Science of Fingerprints – Chapters 1-4; 8-10
  • Quantitative-Qualitative Friction Ridge Analysis by David Ashbaugh – Chapters 1-4
  • The Fingerprint Sourcebook – Chapters 1-6, 9, and 13
