About Tom Washington
Tom Washington is a Certified Latent Print Examiner with the San Diego Police Department’s Crime Laboratory. Tom has been working in the field of forensics for over 21 years. The first 3 years of his career, Tom worked in the Crime Scene Unit as a Forensic Specialist. Since then, Tom has been working in the Latent Print Unit.
As well as working for SDPD, Tom is also an Adjunct Professor at Grossmont Community College, teaching Advanced Fingerprint Identification.
Tom has been a guest lecturer at several conferences. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Administration as well as degrees in Evidence Technology and Photography. Tom’s research primarily focuses on the forgery of latent prints.
