WRITING PROPOSALS AND MANAGING PROJECTS

Instructor:  Max Houck, Ph.D.
Course length: 8 hours

Grants are a necessity but writing successful proposals is an art and science. Most employees do not have the time to struggle through what’s needed in the typically short deadlines for grant proposals.

This Writing Proposals and Managing Projects course provides the core skills needed to evaluate solicitations, write proposals, and craft workable budgets for any type of grant. A project is any set of tasks with limited resources that has to be completed by a set date. Sound familiar? Nearly everything an organization does is a project but most do not apply the central skills to treat them that way. Using a simple but expandable one page approach, this course provides the necessary skills and knowledge to keep projects of any size on time, on budget, and resistant to “creep”.

Based on years of successful federal grant awards and management, this course is perfect for busy employees who are tasked with grant writing. An absolute must for any group of employees in any field.

This course is offered on its own or as a package with the following courses: Process Improvement Without the Hype as well as From Leadership to Management. Times are approximate and can be altered as desired. Courses can be tailored to any group size.
